Villa Ombrosa,
Luxury Apartments in Tuscany

Villa Ombrosa is an 18th-century building that has undergone significant transformations over time. One notable change occurred in the early 20th centurywhen an entire wing was demolished, altering its original appearance.

The property is located in Montenero, at the foot of the hill facing the Cappella dell’Apparizione. It comprises the villa itself and a vast park, almost entirely enclosed by a high wall and bordered by Via di Montenero to the southwest, the “del Forcone” stream to the northeast, via della Fontanella and via Ombrosa.

The villa was possibly constructed in the mid-16th century on the foundations of a convent of nuns. It was owned by Filippo Freccia, whose family sold the property in 1905.

The Park

The park of Villa Ombrosa, large and almost entirely enclosed by a high wall, represents one of the most valuable features of the property. It is bordered by Via di Montenero, the “del Forcone” ditch, Via della Fontanella, and Via Ombrosa.

The renovation project includes enhancing this green area, with the creation of a tree-lined parking area capable of providing multiple parking spaces for each apartment. The four residences located on the ground floor will also have exclusive portions of the park.

The intervention has been carefully designed to maintain a balance between functionality and respect for the historical context, restoring the park’s original role as a noble and representative space serving the villa and its residents.
